Get in a Yoga Groove
Now that we spend so much time at home, it’s more important than ever to keep moving. Join Cathy in a yoga Zoom practice—individually or in groups—to stay fit in body, mind and spirit.
For many of us, the gym is out and schedules are upside-down. Live-streamed yoga connects us to one another at a safe distance, anchors our days, and helps us stockpile the serenity with which we can face new challenges. Cathy keeps the sessions interesting and lively with integrated routines that build strength and flexibility.
With Others or at Your Own Pace
Daily classes provide a destination where you can gather with other like-minded practitioners. Individual sessions provide the luxury of personal adjustments that suit your body's needs, perfect for healing illness or injuries, or for accelerating your practice.
In-person gatherings can be problematic, but Zoom sessions let friends and loved ones celebrate together while apart, and yoga is a group activity that anyone can participate in at any level. Cathy would be delighted to customize a session for occasions such as
- Birthday parties for toddlers, teens or adults
- Bridal or baby showers
- Family reunions
- Holiday gatherings
Build New Bonds
Colleagues or other group members too long out of touch can enjoy a yoga session that breaks up the daily routine and provides lots of insights beyond shop talk.

Guiding Principle
Move mindfully. Honor your strengths, but honor your limitations even more.
Cathy has enjoyed yoga for more than 20 years on her own, but she took her practice to a much deeper level when she began to work in a group setting. She finds the energy generated in a structured yoga class invigorating and inspiring. And sharing the gift of meditation, which complements yoga asanas, among a Sangha (group) can heal the body and open the mind to greater awareness.
Cathy completed her first 200-hour teacher training in Hatha Yoga at the Kripalu Center in Stockbridge, Mass. She completed David Magones' Prana Vayu 200-hour teacher course as her vinyasa and meditation training. (Harvard University Buddhist Chaplain Khenpo Lama MigmarTseten also provided instruction.)
In ongoing workshops, primarily with Doug Keller, she continues to study mindful alignment and sequencing in yoga so she can help her own students enjoy optimal health as they age.
Cathy especially likes to share her love of yoga with new students and those using yoga to heal. She herself supplemented treatment for a serious medical condition with asanas. In her free time, she enjoys all things outdoors.
Currently, Zoom allows Cathy to bring yoga at all levels to groups of students and to guide individual clients in weekly sessions at their own pace.
